Pregnancy blog- 9 weeks

How Far Along:   9 Weeks

Size of baby:  Prune

Sleep: Still not much but its getting better

Total Weight Gain:  2kgs- Guess my scales were wrong

Symptoms: Still have nausea! Crappy skin

Movement: Lots of bubbles

Maternity Clothes:  pretty much wearing all maternity clothing now

Go-to eats:  lollies & chicken chips & sprite

Best moment of the week:  my eldest son turned six on tuesday! Cant believe its been 6 years already! Time has flown

Gender: Still no idea!! Guess ill be really shocked come ultrasound day

What I wish people knew:  what would be really super is if people could get through their heads that gender doesnt matter, do people these days just look past the health of their own child all for pink or blue 😑 i guess that just irritates me

What I’m looking forward to:  Will be having my 12 week DS scan in a week and a half/two weeks, havent seen bub on scan yet so thats exciting

What im thinking: Cant wait to see my son open all his presents tonight!!

Milestones: Baby is now a Fetus!

Pregnancy blog!

I thought i might start a week by week pregnancy blog, somewhere to vent if need be and well just for fun. Ill update weekly but for now im a week behind so ill catch up mid week

So Here’s what happened this week!

—————

How Far Along:   8 weeks

Size of baby: Green olive!

Sleep: Not much! On demand breastfeeding my 5mo is hard work! And plus hes teething which isnt helping the sleeping situatiom

Total Weight Gain:  500g

Symptoms: Headaches/migraines, mild nausea which i hoped would be easing by now, so very hungry all the time, a symptom ive never experienced before- sore boobs! And from experience im noticing spd symptoms starting already which is super!-Not, completely exhausted- a feeling like i cant quite catch up

Movement: None.

Maternity Clothes: Yes, bought myself a nice pair of jeans the other day and three tops

Go-to eats: lollies, lollies and more lollies, and oddly enough chicken chips! Which normally the smell would make me gag so thats different

Best moment of the week: Our youngest son was 7 weeks prem and along with that we were told he "may" have development setbacks, well our health nurse said hes spot on and his starting to push himself foward to crawl or indicate crawling!! Pure joy right there

Gender: Im really lost this time to be honest, the whole mothers intuition really isnt working for me right now! But as the spiel goes aslong as its healthy

What I wish people knew:  i dont just fall pregnant at the drop of a hat, some women have it easy and others have to work for it, someone telling me im so lucky to have my children is great but to get them was alot of heartache and emotional rollercoasters!

What I’m looking forward to: my next scan at 12 weeks, also my hospital specialist appointment were going to talk about a VBAC or another possible SECTION, as far as ive been told im a great candidate for one but a random prem baby has some concerns that go along with it.

What im thinking: Thinking what im going to get up and make to eat next...seriously i am

Milestones: Graduated from an embryo to a fetus – but really, it’s a baby all the way around to me.

DIY Headboard

Ive wanted to make myself a headboard for awhile now and have finally done it so i thought id blog the step by step guide for anyone wanting todo the same.

Materials:
• 2.5m x 1.2m Ply wood(suitable height for Queen bed with pillow top)
•Sellys Quick grip spray
• 3m plain Wadding
• 3m x 1.4m Marerial (I used Upholstery fabric)
• 4cm thick Foam(sold by the meter) 3.5m cut to size
•staple gun
•Staples (10mm) 4packs
•stanley knife
•Hammer

Step 1- Cut foam to shape of ply and set aside for later

Step 2- lay down your ply on a flat surface, wipe over with a mircofibre wipe to pick up any residual dirt/dust

Step 3- Spray "quick grip" over ply and foam and lay down foam onto ply making sure all areas are bonded, especially sides/corners, wait for drying time

Step 4- lay down wadding and lay over ply (foam side down) and wrap waddin over working from one side to the next and so on making sure it taunt before stappling, using a hammer if any stapples dont make it all the way in

Step 5- lay down material printed side down and once again lay down ply (foam side down) and wrap material over again working from side to side making sure its taunt, the material is the most important step and you dont want sagging or loose looking, wrap corners into a triangle and then staple along the folded line, repeat all sides

Step 6- check over all sides of the headboard making sure there arent any raised staples, if so just lightly hammer them in, and now your done!
Enjoy! 😊👍
